October is Halloween month in the cave. projects around this event will be planned.
Saturday 2 October 2010
Making of a pinhole camera and taking pictures with it. It's gonna be a experimental workshop where we try different methodes and see what results it will give.
A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens and with a single small aperture — effectively a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through this single point and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box. The human eye in bright light acts similarly, as do cameras using small apertures. More info on pinhole cameras can be found here
Possible cool locations to take the pictures:
- Old cemeteries in Antwerp like Schoonselhof or Silsburg (To keep it in the Halloween theme)
- Our own building and neighbourhood
- Centre of Antwerp
What to bring:
- A light tight box (like a shoe box or metal can that can be closed)
- Any camera that you wanna play with (digital or manual)
- your creativity
The workshop is free to members of one of the hackerspaces and to members of Josto. Non-members pay 5 euro.
