- Equations:

With one unknown, two uknowns and possibly (but not likely) three unknowns.

- Commutativity:

Mathematics . a. (of a binary operation) having the property that one term operating on a second is equal to the second operating on the first, as a × b = b × a.

- Associativity:

Mathematics, Logic . a. (of an operation on a set of elements) giving an equivalent expression when elements are grouped without change of order, as ( a + b ) + c = a + ( b + c ).
