After that you need to add the touchscreen to you're /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. This was done according to the configuration found here: http://0x20.be/Table_Computer. Restart X-server and you should have the touchscreen working. The values in the xorg.conf must be calibrated to your specific configuration. At this time I haven't found any other option to do this than trail and error.
